Area of Expertise

Tumor metastasis

Whether Part-time

No

Research Direction

1. Fucosylation of cell glycoprotein is one of our research areas, in which we investigated the fucosylation in lung cancer cells and hepatocellular carcinoma cells and observed that fucosylation of E-cadherin and chemokine receptors is important in the regulation of tumor cell migration and is associated with their metastasis potential. 2. Sulfation of glycan is another area of our research, in which we are investigating the role of the sulfated mioties of cerebroside in tumor metastasis. In this area our interests focus on the regulation of integrin alpha V subunit gene expression. Based on our previous observation that demonstrated the regulation, we will look further into the signaling or regulatory pathway to elucidate the possible mechanisms. .

Current Research Projects

Cerebroside sulfation in regulation of integrin alpha V subunit gene expression.

Signaling pathway mediated by core-fucosylated E-cadherin
