Standing Vice-President Chen Xiaoman met with Dean Meng Xiaoli of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Harvard

On April 19, Professor Chen Xiaoman, Standing Vice-President of Fudan cordially met with Prof. Meng Xiaoli, Dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, who returned to his Alma Mater.
 
Standing Vice-President Chen Xiaoman made a detailed introduction to the internationalization strategy and alumni work of Fudan University, and expressed the willingness to enhance academic exchange and cooperation with Harvard University. Dean Meng Xiaoli introduced the post-graduate education of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Harvard University, thanked the cultivation efforts by Fudan, and showed the willingness to act as a bridge between Fudan and Harvard. Both sides carried out in-depth exchange of ideas on Harvard-Yenching Visiting Fellows Program, CSC program and further expansion of academic exchange and cooperation channels.
 
Professor Margot Gill, Administrative Dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, accompanied Dean Meng’s visit to Fudan. The heads of relevant departments, such as Foreign Affairs Office, Alumni Office, Human Resources Department, and Graduate School of Fudan also participated in the meeting.
 
A Brief Introduction of Prof. Meng Xiaoli
 
In 1978, Prof. Meng was enrolled in the Department of Mathematics of Fudan Univeristy, and graduated and received Master’s Degree from the Mathematics Research Institute in 1986, and received the Ph.D. of Statistics from Harvard University. In August, 2012, he was formally appointed as the new permanent dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.
